Developed and manufactured by DANI Instruments, the MASTER TOF-MS detector combines rapid acquisition rates (up to 1,000 spectra/s over the entire mass range,) and wide linear dynamic range (105) with the powerful proprietary MASTER Lab software to provide solutions for Fast Gas Chromatography (Fast GC) and Comprehensive GC (GCxGC). In addition, its extremely compact design means that it is the smallest bench-top instrument of its class.
Unlike scanning MS systems, the MASTER TOF-MS generates constant ion abundance ratios across the chromatographic peak. In the event of co-elutions or where the mass spectra of overlapping peaks are not sufficiently unique, the original spectral deconvolution algorithms are automatically applied. The deconvoluted spectra are then matched against MS libraries for their accurate and reliable identification. Several MS libraries such as the NIST mass spectral library are supported.
The MASTER TOF Time of Flight GC/MS system fulfils the requirements of a wide range of applications such as flavour and fragrance testing, agriculture, petrochemical, environmental monitoring, material science, security and forensics.
